That inspires my courage to heed the visceral urge of my heart, and to let go of the comfortable familiar in order to live, work and yes, play(!) by the ocean, where I feel most connected to the great life force; free and alive.
Our modest abode is on the Gulf of Mexico in Bradenton, Florida, at the foot of a gentle island called Anna Maria (a perfect beach retreat destination for stressed out Washingtonians.) Amazing skies, warm clear water, white powder sand, birds, fish, dolphins and manatees, oh my! Such wonders to behold, cherish and protect! My friends say "but what about hurricanes and climate change?" I say we all must be willing to accept the uncertainties of life, and adapt and respond as the situation demands. Life is impermanent and unknowable. So for now, while it is a possibility, I want to be held by the sea. May this experience awaken my consciousness to rise even faster than the seas. The evolution of we on the planet depends on each of us acting through awareness. I trust that I have been led here to continue down the path of diving into the deep.
